Hunan Provincial People's Hospital (The First Affiliated Hospital of Hunan Normal University) was founded in 1912 by Dr. Yan Fuqing. Directly under the Hunan Provincial Health Commission, it is a Class-A Grade-3 general hospital and the largest provincial-level Grade-3 general hospital in Hunan, operating four integrated campuses: Tianxinge, Mawangdui, Yuelushan, and Rongyuan.
As more international friends come to Changsha to study, work, and live, the number of foreign patients visiting the hospital continues to grow. The hospital has established an International Medical Department. In a pioneering move, it introduced the "Happy Doctor American Satellite Clinic" program, launching Hunan's first China-US remote consultation platform to provide visual remote consultations and build an MDT international multidisciplinary treatment center.
For international patients, the hospital provides foreign-language services including English and Japanese, simplifies billing through international insurance direct payment, and connects to global medical resources for cross-border services such as remote consultation and overseas referrals.
